The Art of Delegation: Thoughtfully crafting your leadership style to inspire results using creativity, innovation and trust.
It’s hard to settle on a single definition of leadership but the central theme that emerges consistently involves “the ability to inspire a a person or a team to achieve a specific goal by social influence”.  A traditional role of a leader is to delegate tasks where, In simple terms , delegating a task means giving responsibility for a task to another person to complete.
When managing a high and variable workload, leaders will often make quick decisions to share work and balance their load by delegating and assigning tasks, issuing instructions and guidance with a target date for delivery of results. In some cases this works however too often the results do not match what was expected in being delivered late or not at all, absorbing additional or incorrect resources, lacking quality from skill gaps that require rework, trigger escalations for support and in some cases needing the leader taking back the task to complete it themselves. In this culture, team members become understandably cautious, revoke some trust and lose motivation to take on further “doomed to fail” tasks.
With thought, imagination and creativity there is another way to transform delegation from a transaction of work into a recipe for planned success for the team members, the leader and the business achieving remarkable, sustainable and consistent results.
In this webinar you will learn to explore the art of delegation in taking time to strategically plan what will be delegated, the approach to matching work to skills, resources and capability as well as making situational preparation for the engagement conversation to inspire, motivate and enthuse a team member to take, own and lead themselves to the task  .. and this is all before you share your ask.
In this webinar you will experience how to craft a great conversation to share tasks that provides safety, confidence and belief for the team members as well as listening actively for understanding, securing clarity of message and exploring innovative ideas for alternative approaches.
In this webinar you will understand your role to support, challenge, coach, mentor, direct and celebrate actions on the journey to progress and task completion. You will see how the art of delegation feels for your team members and consider your readyness for change, setbacks and failures as an opportunity for continuous improvement.
Delegation takes time and energy to be effective for you and the team … with thought and creativity you can create your delegation masterpiece and renew your leadership style.
